Payroll & HR

Workday + Nuromi

Connect Workday and Nuromi pulls its workers, payroll, time off into live dashboard widgets and plain-English AI insights, alongside every other payroll & hr tool and system you run.

What connecting Workday does

  • Workday's workers, payroll, time off, compensation become live widgets on your dashboard, refreshed automatically instead of exported by hand.
  • Nuromi reads across payroll & hr data from Workday to surface AI insights, not just charts, so patterns worth attention are flagged before they become problems.
  • Built for how Enterprise, Healthcare, Manufacturing businesses actually use Workday, sitting next to whatever else you connect.
  • Connects with a key or token you generate inside Workday. Nuromi never writes back, the connection is read-only.

How to connect

This one takes about ten minutes and needs your Workday administrator, Workday asks for five details instead of one. Every step happens inside your own Workday account though, there is no Nuromi login or approval screen involved.

Go to workday.com(opens in a new tab)

Opens their website in a new tab. Sign in there to find your code.

  1. 1Ask your Workday administrator to sign in and search for "Register API Client".
  2. 2Create a new API Client named Nuromi, with read-only access to Workers and Payroll (or whichever areas your admin is offered), then save it.
  3. 3Copy the Client ID and Client Secret Workday shows straight away. The secret is only shown once, so grab it before closing the screen.
  4. 4Still in Workday, search for "Create Integration System User" and set one up for this connection (or reuse an existing integration user if your admin already has one).
  5. 5Search for "Generate Refresh Token" and run it against that Integration System User. Copy the refresh token it gives you.
  6. 6Note your Workday hostname and tenant name too. Both show in your browser's address bar while you're signed in, for example wd3-impl-services1.workday.com is the hostname, and the short code straight after it, like acme, is the tenant.
  7. 7Paste all five details into Nuromi: hostname, tenant, Client ID, Client Secret, and refresh token.
  8. 8If any of these options are greyed out for your admin, they will need the right security permissions turned on first. Your Workday support partner can do this if your admin is not sure how.
